The council received and filed the 2024–2025 General Plan Annual Progress Report and directed staff to forward a copy to the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) and the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
Directors Ben Pongetti and Kyle Cason and Chief Aviv Bar answered council questions about Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) requirements; potential annexation of Whittier Boulevard; locations with additional zoning capacity; permitting timelines for commercial versus residential projects; pavement management and the Painter Avenue project; and Flock camera data collection and installation. The motion to receive and file the report passed unanimously.
