On the consent calendar Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-16 to amend the FY 2025–26 budget and accept a $13,463 grant from the California State Library for the “Lunch at the Library” program. Interim Library Director Jacqueline Sanchez was invited to accept the proclamation earlier in the meeting and later invited residents to attend library events, including the Whittier Read event.
The resolution and budget amendment were recorded in the meeting minutes as part of the consent action.
