Police: Greenwood Lake saw 783 blotter reports in October; Christmas festival Nov. 29 announced

Greenwood Lake Police Chief Adam Iron presented the department’s October activity summary: 783 blotter reports, roughly 100 traffic stops, 46 traffic summonses, two motor-vehicle accidents, 35 welfare checks, 14 medical-aid calls and eight arrests. The chief said the department’s average response time for the month was approximately 2.5 minutes.
Chief Iron also reminded residents that the annual Christmas festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, beginning at 12 p.m., and advised drivers to expect increased pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the business district. He said the department has no new hires, reported one resignation (part‑time officer Ryan Wharton, who accepted a full‑time position in Newburgh), and closed by inviting any questions.
