The mayor said the curfew is a longstanding practice for the festival and framed it as a public-safety measure intended to reduce late-evening risk during the multi-day celebration. "Be it resolved that the village board would like to have a curfew set in effect on 10/30/2025 and 10/31/2025 beginning at 8PM each new evening for all persons under the age of 18 within the village of Green Lake," the resolution states.
The resolution sets a specific local order for the two dates; enforcement details were not discussed at length during the meeting and will be implemented by the police department as customary for the festival period.
