Council approves police MOUs, management pay adjustments and updated salary resolution on consent
Summary
On consent the council approved MOUs with the Whittier Police Officers Association and the Whittier Police Management Association for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029, benefit and salary adjustments for unrepresented executive management, Amendment No.1 to the City Manager agreement, and adoption of Resolution No. 2026-15 updating the 2025–26 salary resolution.
As part of the consent calendar the council approved Item 8.G, which included: the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Whittier Police Officers Association (WPOA) and the Whittier Police Management Association (WPMA) for the period July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029; benefit and salary adjustments for unrepresented executive management (Level I); Amendment No. 1 to the City Manager Conal McNamara's agreement; and adoption of Resolution No. 2026-15 to update the FY 2025–26 salary resolution.
City Clerk Rigoberto Garcia provided a salary disclosure related to the item during the consent calendar. The consent calendar passed unanimously with Items 8.D and 8.E pulled for separate consideration.
