Commission adopts alternate landscape plan with tree-screening notes

Staff told the commission the landscape submission falls under the PUD and that the plan meets most Chapter 90 standards. "They exceed all of them except for the screening tree requirement, which is only required on the public street, Grapevine Tern, not along the Winding Way," a staff member said, and asked for direction on replanting and spacing to meet screening counts.
Commissioners discussed options: relocating a sidewalk to preserve a crepe myrtle, adjusting tree spacing or accepting alternate plantings, and converting or replacing the existing freestanding sign with a Kelsey Seybold sign. A motion to approve the proposed alternate landscape plan amendment was seconded and approved by voice vote; staff said it will indicate the alternate plan in the memo and file.
