Staff announced next month’s public hearing will be held in Tarranton, Idaho, at the ALC Auditorium near West Jefferson High School to give residents more opportunity to attend (SEG 1328–1332). Commissioners discussed alternatives for the I‑15 interchange design (double‑diamond/diverging designs and other diverging diamond concepts) and said the corridor conversations include consideration of industrial parks and commercial uses around interchanges.
On groundwater, a commissioner said staff received a quote from Rocky Mountain Environmental for a hydrogeologic synthesis of existing data for the Greater Rigby/Windy area. Staff reported the quoted fee was about "$6,000" and that the consultant estimated a four‑week turnaround to compile existing data into a usable report (SEG 1479–1500). Commissioners said the county is at the headwaters for some groundwater resources, and that the study would help the board understand growth capacity and potential constraints.
