Health department moves to certify multiple program revenues, pursue grants
Summary

Health and Human Services staff asked the court to certify and appropriate multiple revenue items for program delivery and to authorize applications for forthcoming grant cycles. The department requested certification of $649,320 for the immunization program, $300,000 for immunization program income, and additional federal and state grant certifications for TB prevention and other public-health programs.
The department also sought authorization to apply for external grants — including the Episcopal Health Foundation 2026 program cycle, the Lower Colorado River Authority fiscal-year-27 grant, and the Methodist Healthcare Ministries 2027 opportunity — and to sign associated documents. The court approved the revenue certifications and authorized the grant applications by motion.
Staff described the public-health programming those funds support, and commissioners voted to approve the motions supporting continued program operations and grant pursuit.
