District Clerk Mary Eadie called the Barker Central School District Board of Education reorganization meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on July 2, 2025, and administered oaths to newly elected member S. Mason and re-elected member D. Carnes.
Nominations for Board President produced two candidates. J. Sweeney, Jr. nominated R. Atwater (seconded by D. Carnes); S. Mason nominated V. Voss. The recorded vote gave Atwater six votes to Voss’s one. The Board then moved to formally nominate Mr. Atwater as President; the motion passed 7–0 and District Clerk Eadie administered the President’s oath before turning the meeting over to President R. Atwater.
President Atwater then called for nominations for Vice President. D. Carnes moved to nominate J. Sweeney, Jr., seconded by E. Gow; the motion carried 7–0 and the District Clerk administered the oath to Vice President Sweeney.
