Dr. Reimer updated the Board on capital projects, saying the district moved into the new FACS space though finishing touches remain (windows, heating, dividable door). Work in former FACS spaces will begin in April, high-school area work will begin in June, and the district aims to have all spaces turned over by the second week of September. He said the District will continue with SEI Design and LeChase for a 2025 $14 million Capital Improvement Project.
Mr. Cornwell will take on a larger role focused on learning spaces, and subcontractor arrangements for engineering services will change (professional services not requiring purchase bidding under the District’s purchasing policies). The Board acknowledged the schedule will need careful coordination around Regents and other year-end events.
