Trustees said the work session highlighted several concrete points: participants found the term "lewd" too vague and recommended clearer language or alternative phrasing; hoods were seen broadly as a safety concern while hats and beanies were generally acceptable; and views differed on hat use in hallways versus classrooms. The board agreed not to rush and to plan for presentation and public input in April, with the option to extend the review if needed.
