Randolph County students recognized for SkillsUSA national finishes

Randolph County board recognized four Randolph Technical Center students who advanced to SkillsUSA nationals in Atlanta; students placed 20th, 9th and 5th in their events. The board paused for photos and praised the students’ statewide representation.
The Randolph County Schools board opened its meeting with recognition of students who competed at the SkillsUSA national competition in Atlanta.
Mister Daniels introduced four Randolph Technical Center competitors, saying, “This is probably the most this is my favorite part of the job.” Daniels told the board the students competed June 1–5 and represented the state at nationals. Bridal Higgins and Blake Sears placed 20th in commercial drones, Jonathan Shank placed ninth in cabinet making, and Julianne Harlan finished fifth in prepared speech (Harlan was unable to attend the meeting because of work obligations).
Superintendent Dr. Lambert and board members thanked the students and invited them to have a photo taken with the board. The recognition highlighted the district’s career-technical success and the board’s public appreciation for student achievement.
