District officials brief board on Ohio property tax reform bills

Superintendent Brian Rentsch and Treasurer Kim Beckley updated the Claymont City School District Board of Education on recently enacted Ohio property tax reform legislation during the Jan. 12 meeting. Beckley identified the bills by number and noted they had been signed by Governor DeWine: HB124, HB129, HB186, HB309 and HB335.
The board did not vote on any policy changes related to the bills at the meeting. The presentation was delivered as part of the administrative reports included in the board packet; district leaders listed present included the superintendent, treasurer and building administrators. Board members did not request or adopt follow-up actions during the session.
