Bedford 4B board adopts $4.2 million FY2026–27 budget and CIP unanimously

Brady Olson, the finance director, walked through the online budget tool and said the proposed 4B budget is $4,200,000 and revenues are projected to be roughly flat year to year. He outlined design allocations included in the packet: $200,000 for one intersection, another $200,000 for the second intersection, $173,000 for Rankin design and $127,000 for Shady Meadow design. Brady also said the city moved street-light electricity responsibilities to the 4B fund for the coming year.
During discussion board members asked about debt capacity; Brady said debt service falls off in 2031, providing a potential window for debt-financed projects and noted the 4B fund alone is unlikely to fund all street needs. The board then moved and seconded the budget and approved it by verbal vote with all saying "aye" and no opposition. The motion passed unanimously.
