Council ratifies remote participation for member; electronic meeting policy readopted

Deputy Secretary Warren Walker opened the Cannabis Public Health Advisory Council meeting and read a resolution authorizing Dr. Karen Sanders to participate remotely due to a family vacation. Walker said the member would join from Emerald Isle, North Carolina and that the chair had approved the request before the meeting. The council ratified the chair's determination by roll call (17 ayes, no nays).
The council then readopted the electronic meeting policy required each year by statute. Walker noted the policy had not substantially changed and a motion to adopt carried by voice vote. The secretary was directed to include the remote-participation resolution in the meeting minutes.
