Council authorized staff to allocate $230,761.41 from unrestricted general fund reserves and to enter into a contract with Texas Materials Group Inc. for rehabilitation of portions of Meadow Subdivision, Woodmore Subdivision and East Winnicoff Road up to $884,942.41. Staff explained the work will follow drainage culvert repairs and be priced on tonnage rates with a small mobilization lump sum.
During public comment, resident Bill Jacobson asked council to remember other poor sections such as Oro Road, calling it a safety issue: "Please don't forget about Oro Road. It's a safety issue." Council unanimously approved the allocation and contract and directed staff to coordinate construction timing and neighborhood notifications.
