County advised to convene MUST task force; consultants cite Oct/Nov deadlines and estimated fees

“The report that needs to be filed, is due to the Department of Federal Finance by, November 2,” the consultant said during the presentation, and added that convening the MUST usually involves several meetings and scenario runs. Consultants estimated the typical fee for package and meeting support at about $30,000 to $35,000 depending on services requested. Council members discussed splitting the cost among towns or covering it at the county level.
Consultants emphasized that the MUST is nonbinding and intended to build data and consensus for legislators; they recommended documenting cooperative agreements and any allocation preferences in the report to better position Pulaski County with legislators ahead of statutory changes.
