Monroe County commissioners carry series of routine motions; budget, personnel and grant items approved

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners carried a series of routine agenda motions at its July 15, 2026 meeting, approving minutes, amending the posted agenda and ratifying financial and personnel items.
Commissioner Sharon S. Laverdure moved to amend the agenda to include assessment corrections (M‑2026‑198); Vice‑Chairman David C. Parker seconded and the motion carried. The board approved minutes of the July 1 meeting (M‑2026‑199), amended a Ross Township demolition payment from $10,000 to $9,000 because the project was under budget (M‑2026‑200), and deferred action on an RFP for Drug & Alcohol and counseling services at the Monroe County Correctional Facility until Aug. 5, 2026 (M‑2026‑201). Assistant and department requests were carried as presented throughout the meeting.
The meeting also included required financial ratifications. The board authorized vouchers payable dated July 3 ($1,342,164.07) and July 10 ($672,747.21) and ratified gross payroll for the pay period ending June 28 ($1,627,391.41), along with itemized healthcare, dental and FSA payments (M‑2026‑206).
