BPV Baseball thanks city for field upgrades; parks volunteer candidate speaks at council

"Really appreciate all the investments the city has put in the fields," said Bob Jokowski, who noted improved scheduling after heavy rains and thanked maintenance staff by name for keeping fields playable.
Separately, Eric Krieger told the council his name had been put forward for appointment to the Parks Advisory Board and said he and his family recently moved to town. The mayor noted that Krieger's appointment appears as item M on the consent agenda and thanked him for volunteering; the appointment was included in the consent agenda that the council approved unanimously.
Council and staff praised volunteerism and said continued partnerships with local youth sports groups are important to maintaining field quality and community recreation.
