One motioner said the exterior work should be accepted to prevent further water damage. The council approved the exterior bid by voice vote and directed staff to advertise for interior-repair bids separately.
Council members flagged possible rot and mold concerns if interior repairs are delayed and noted insurance follow-up for tree damage on Main Street that may be related to building exposures.
