In his Oct. 15 report, Mayor Leonard Norton told the council that branch pickup is ongoing through mid‑November and urged residents to prepare for winter. He reported a sewer line project on the north end of town to support future development and said a new, more efficient sewer lift station on 4th East should be installed within a month.
Norton also announced that “as of November 1, we will start following the code on approaches for new construction in the city,” and said staff member Gloria Wilson will provide more details as the council moves forward. The mayor encouraged neighbors to look out for senior residents to ensure they are prepared for winter.
