The motion acknowledging the resignations was made by Menser and seconded by Sample and passed unanimously.
Separately, the board approved the employment of Jade McFarland as a Special Education Aide, subject to her successful completion of the statutorily required fingerprint‑based criminal background check and employment history review. The hiring motion (Sample moved; Kirk seconded) passed 6–0. After the votes the minutes record that "the president declared that the motion carried."
