The board approved a revised District Mission Statement with final approval at the Feb. 10 meeting and accepted Board Goal #1 (Student Achievement/Curriculum) as a 1st Reading. The Policy Committee had recommended the adoption of proposed policy revisions and specifically recommended reverting Board Policy 2:265 (Title IX Sexual Harassment Grievance Procedure) to its Feb. 13, 2023 version as part of the policy-cycle actions discussed by Superintendent J. Henry.
Superintendent Henry outlined next steps in the district's goal-setting process: IASB already compiled results to inform the process, the district mission statement was finalized at this meeting, and Superintendent-proposed SMART goals will be developed over the coming months with anticipated Board consideration in April/May 2025.
The motion to approve Goal #1 (1st Reading) and the final mission statement was made by Menser and seconded by Sample; voting was recorded as all voting yea (6–0).
