Board ends three extra-duty assignments, approves maternity leave and volunteer coaches

After reconvening from closed session, the board adopted resolutions terminating extra-duty/stipend assignments for three employees, approved a maternity leave retroactive to Dec. 9, 2024, and approved volunteer assistant coaches for junior-high track programs.
After reconvening from closed session at 8:21 PM, the Sesser-Valier Board of Education adopted resolutions terminating extra-duty/stipend assignments for Regina Tinsley, Leslie Hacker and Carlie Page. The motion was made by Menser and seconded by Lance; roll-call yeas recorded were Packer, Sample, Spence, Garner, Kirk, Lance and Menser.
The board also approved a maternity leave request for Sierra Grider retroactive to Dec. 9, 2024, on a motion by Sample seconded by Packer. Finally, the board approved volunteer assistant coaches for junior-high track: Brian Laur and Alexis Roberts for JHS girls track and Zach Rounds for JHS boys track.
