Phillip, a Town Web representative, walked the committee through the platform’s capabilities and emphasized accessibility, emergency notifications, and optional AI tools. “AI-assisted creation of news articles,” the vendor’s feature list noted, and the demonstration also showed meeting transcription and speaker-identification options. Committee members asked for clarification on which features are included in the base package versus paid add-ons, three-year versus five-year contract pricing, renewal terms, content-export rights, and support response times.
The committee also requested details on page and storage limits, template customization, and options for embedding livestreams. Jean from Town Web committed to a formal written proposal within 24–48 hours. The committee’s next steps are to review that proposal at the July 10 meeting and, if satisfied, forward a recommendation to the Select Board on July 14.
