Delinquent tax collector Gretchen Hauser reported to the Selectboard on several overdue parcels at the July 14 meeting, outlining situations that include ownership changes, deaths, pending sales and payment plans. For parcel #060077-00 the board approved an engagement letter and agreed to pay a $50 processing fee; Katie Fitzpatrick moved to authorize the action and Jim Linville seconded, with the motion passing unanimously.
Hauser also briefed the board on specific parcels: monthly letters sent to 205233-00 with no response; two Femma buyout parcels (205038-00 and 090172-00) that may require write-off or adjustment; a payment plan for 110158-00 (agreed to pay $750/month); and several parcels that are listed for sale where taxes are expected to be paid at closing. The Selectboard asked for further follow-up and placed additional items on the July 28 agenda.
