Trustees approved a salary adjustment for the deputy clerk following staff comments about recent certification and grant work. A board member noted that Heather Casco earned an MIP designation and had independently applied for and secured a $10,000 ADA grant from the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks, which funded township hall ADA improvements. As one board member summarized, "Heather Casco did get her, certification as the MIP, designation."
On a motion to increase the deputy clerk's hourly rate to $31 and with the necessary departmental budget amendment, the board voted by voice and approved the salary adjustment. The change is effective in the next pay period, according to staff's recommendation.
