New 'Friends of Camden Hills State Park' group asks select board for member support

Karoff said the group incorporated as a Maine nonprofit in April and has already consulted with the Bureau of Parks and Lands and peer organizations. Questions from board members and attendees centered on how the Friends group would collaborate with existing local nonprofits (the Lincolnville Hills Project, library, and others) and how some longer-term repairs might require state approvals. Karoff and Eric Brooks (speaker 15) signaled willingness to work with town departments and other volunteer groups on prioritized projects.
