The board voted to continue the district's partnership with Allan Hancock College through the CCAP dual-enrollment program.
“San Ynez Valley Union High School District will continue its partnership with Allan Hancock College and the CCAP dual enrollment program,” a district official said. Staff and at least one public commenter highlighted student benefits: one attendee said graduates arrived in college with “16 to 20 units already in the bank.”
Board members moved and seconded the motion to approve the agreement and approved it by roll call. Trustees recorded ayes for all present members.
District staff characterized the program as providing free access to college-level courses and credits that can reduce student stress and accelerate academic and career pathways.
