The board adopted a resolution formally calling for the district—s regular biannual governing board election to be consolidated with the November 3, 2026 statewide general election and identified four seats to be filled, including one two-year term for trustee area 3.
Staff told the board the resolution is routine and legally required under the California Education Code and Elections Code. The board also approved a companion resolution setting the district—s policy for candidates— statements in the county voter information guide, establishing a 200-word limit and requiring candidates to cover associated printing and mailing costs. Both resolutions were approved by roll call vote (all ayes).
