Shelly Roberts and Courtnie Dawson of the Idaho Rural Water Association presented a sewer rate study and recommended a $7 monthly increase per user, which the presenters said "would result in a 13% rise in sewer rates for residential customers." The City Council accepted the study for the record and set a public hearing on the proposed increase for November 11, 2025.
The recommendation and the hearing date were made during the council's Oct. 14 meeting at the Harrison Senior Center. Charlie Shutt moved to approve the Idaho Rural Water Rate Study and Will Butler seconded; all voting members present voted AYE. The hearing will allow residents to comment before any rate change is adopted.
