Johnson said the Forest Service had already removed debris and equipment from the park and that the county would receive a one‑time remittance of $10,000 to help cover parks costs.
"We finally negotiated on a final settlement of $10,000 1 time payment," Johnson said. He and staff described the measure as finalizing the contract; a county commissioner asked whether the payment meant the county was paying the Forest Service, and Johnson clarified the Forest Service is paying the county. The board moved and approved the agreement.
The agreement was presented as a closeout of a short‑term rental of county park space required for emergency or agency operations; Johnson said the park cleanup and removal of debris piles was already complete and staff recommended approval so the county could sign and return the agreement.
