The Pueblo County commissioners approved the consent agenda that included four items. Staff said the county previously authorized the sale of the old planning building and closing is set for Aug. 12; because the chair will be out of town the board authorized a chair pro tem or another commissioner to execute closing documents for the property at 209 West 12th Street.
Staff also described Community Services Advisory Commission (CSAC)‑recommended funding agreements for local nonprofits including the Boys & Girls Club, CASA, Spark the Change Colorado and the Pueblo Hispanic Education Fund. Commissioners debated the CSAC process briefly; one commissioner said the awards process should be reevaluated to ensure tax dollars are allocated according to county priorities.
Another consent item formalized reporting structures after a recent reorganization for certain county facilities and public‑works employees. The final consent item approved a property tax abatement for Larry and Lynn Ordorf: staff said the total abated value was $81,740 and abated taxes were $8,107.21. The consent agenda passed by voice vote.
