Trail walk resumes June 12; staff to report on Mermaid Park connector grant

Chair Victoria Hyczko said the May 20 trail walk was canceled an hour beforehand because of weather; the board confirmed the next walk will be Friday, June 12 at 8 a.m. at Armentrout Preserve and that naturalist Kristy Morley will lead a bird walk. Susan Mudambi raised a concern that the trail walk flyers were not posted at the Harvest Drive kiosk; Township staff member Mike Richino said he would check with Mr. Smith about kiosk postings.
Separately, Richino said the Mermaid Park Connector Pedestrian Trail project has an engineering grant from TASA previously mentioned to the board. He described the award as an engineering-phase grant and said he will bring further information to the next meeting about scope and schedule.
