Fire chief: new Shearer printing contract will lower department’s printer costs

Chief Miller said the Shearer Printing contract will replace the department's central black-and-white printer with a color model and include toner in the maintenance plan, noting the contract reduces the department's monthly costs from about $93.25 to $70.25. "It's gonna replace our central, black and white printer, with a color printer. It also includes a maintenance contract that includes the toner," Chief Miller said.
The chair moved to accept the maintenance contract for the fire department's printer; the motion was seconded and the board approved the contract. Chief Miller said the change will eliminate the need for separate ink purchases that had been budgeted previously.
