Staff announces new planners; traffic committee reports two approvals

Staff announced Natividad Melendez, who prefers "Natty," as the city's new planning technician and said Nat Tully will begin next week as the associate planner, bringing the department to full staffing soon. The traffic committee reported it met and approved two items (San Duval Lane and Madero at Puyallup) without public comment; the Design Review Committee had no meeting this month and plans a Dec. 16 meeting.
Commissioners thanked staff for the update and welcomed the new hires. Chair Disney reminded the committee there will be no December meeting and wished colleagues happy holidays before adjourning the meeting at 7:22 p.m.
