The Planning & Transportation Commission took three formal actions at its Sept. 8 meeting:
1) The consent calendar was moved, seconded and approved by the commission with no items pulled for separate consideration.
2) Conditional Use Permit CUP 2025-0005 (Wholesome Choice Market, 24021 Marguerite Parkway) was moved, seconded and approved as recommended by staff; the permit allows the applicant to seek a Type 21 off-sale general alcoholic beverage license in conjunction with the supermarket use. Attorney Thomas Aplin spoke during public comment to advise the commission of a private CC&R restriction asserted by an adjacent property owner.
3) Planned Development Permit PDP 2024-009 (Providence Mission Hospital Tower 3) was moved, seconded and approved; staff recommended the commission rely on previously certified environmental documentation and adopt findings and conditions in a resolution.
The meeting transcript records motions and that the votes passed but does not provide a roll-call tally for each commissioner; the transcript notes which commissioners were absent (Chair Disney and Commissioner Burton) and records the movers and seconds for motions.
