"We're seeing a lot more vehicles in the morning with parents who are dropping off kids at Bathgate Elementary, and our street is kind of a cut through," resident Ron France said during public comment, noting several younger children live on the street. Commissioners said the traffic committee (typically the first Friday of the month) and city traffic staff will evaluate the location and recommended contacting Brett Kennedy in the traffic department so the issue can be placed on the committee agenda for study, with results possibly returning in October or November.
The exchange did not include follow-up action or a staff report at the meeting; commissioners advised the resident to pursue the formal traffic-study process through staff. The commission did not take formal action at the meeting on Marsala Way but directed the resident to the traffic committee and city traffic staff for next steps.
