Board accepts two paraprofessional resignations, approves two hires and declaration of need
Summary
Trustees accepted resignations from two paraprofessionals, approved two new employees for 2025–26 and adopted a Declaration of Need (BP4113) permitting teachers to work outside their major/minor. All votes were 4–0 on May 15.
The board accepted resignation letters from Lydia Lenihan, LME SDC paraprofessional, and Alondra Rosas, LMHS RSP paraprofessional. The acceptance of resignations was moved by Melissa Peters, seconded by Lidia Mekhail, and approved 4-0.
The board also approved employment of Michelle Garner as an LME SDC paraprofessional and Darren Holman as an LMHS social science teacher for the 2025–26 school year. Separately, the board approved a Declaration of Need under board policy BP4113 allowing teachers to teach outside their major or minor where necessary. Both the hires and the declaration passed 4-0.
