Locally, staff reviewed approximately $2.8 million in direct CoC investment within Westmoreland County and about $13 million in regional investments that affect the county. The board discussed a target local strategy of roughly one‑third supportive services, one‑third permanent housing and one‑third transitional housing to align with HUD priorities.
Staff flagged proposed governance changes to CoC board representation and announced an upcoming RFP prioritizing Transitional Housing and Supportive Services projects; the application deadline was stated as in August. Members discussed next steps including preserving and strengthening existing projects, pursuing new funding, and refining project planning to improve competitiveness under the NOFO.
