Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders named county ambassadors after 2025 Class A state title

Councilmember Dr. Jonathan Goodman sponsored recognition of the Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School Red Raiders Varsity Football Team for winning the 2025 South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) Class A state championship. The team’s Dec. 5, 2025, 35–21 victory over Lamar earned them a proclamation; Head Coach Corey Crosby accepted a plaque and awards on the team’s behalf and was appointed with the players and coaches as ambassadors of Bamberg County.
Goodman apologized that the team could not be present because they had just arrived off the road; Coach Crosby thanked the council for the recognition. The council approved the appointment and recognition as a ceremonial item during the meeting.
