Council approves Jordan Bluffs zoning figures, updates 15‑acre park location

Midvale City Council approved Ordinance No. 2025-O-11 on June 17 to amend sections of the Midvale Municipal Code that replace figures for Jordan Bluffs Subareas 1–3. Staff said the change reflects updates to the Gardner Group concept plan, including reconfiguration of development pods, public road layouts and the confirmed location and size of the 15-acre public park.
Senior planner Jonathan Anderson reviewed the code criteria for zoning amendments and staff’s finding that the proposal promotes the general plan's objectives; he noted public notice had been sent and that a public hearing on June 3 received comments. Dave Dennison of the Gardner Group said the developer appreciates resolving the mapping details so work on the master plan can proceed. Council Member Heidi Robinson moved approval; Council Member Bonnie Billings seconded, and the ordinance passed unanimously.
The amendment ties the figures to the Master Development Agreement and the 2016 General Plan’s redevelopment identification for the Jordan Bluffs area. Staff said the map and figure changes are administrative and intended to align the code with the developer’s concept and the associated master plan.
