Port Barre council accepts officer resignation and authorizes MOA with ICE
Summary

Councilmember S. Hardy moved to accept the resignation of Officer Nikolaus; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record acceptance of the resignation as a formal personnel action taken by the board.
In the same portion of the meeting, Councilmember Robin moved and Councilmember Kimble seconded a motion granting Mayor John P. Ardoin permission to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Port Barre Police Department. The motion was approved unanimously. Chief Boudreaux also presented the police department's monthly activity report during the meeting.
