The council moved, seconded and adopted a motion to create the position by resolution and nominated a council member to serve in the role on an interim basis.
Administrators said the borough administrator would be copied on submissions so the chief administrative officer remains informed. The clerk and borough counsel recommended that, if the position becomes permanent, the council should codify the role or align it with an existing council-liaison structure. The council voted in favor by roll call and directed staff to return with an interim resolution and implementation details.
