Board signs decommissioning agreement, clearing way for US Solar MVP building permit

Planning staff Barry told commissioners the agreement “includes specific requirements for when we can then tap into a letter of credit or other things if there's some type of default in maintenance or other things” and that it ensures the county is covered if equipment is not properly decommissioned. Barry added this is the final step before issuing the building permit.
A commissioner moved to approve and authorize signatures for the decommissioning agreement; the motion passed unanimously. Staff confirmed the executed documents will be sent to the county office for record and to the applicants, enabling permitting to proceed.
