Mayor honors Andalusia Stingrays swimmer Harrison Vincent for district, state medals

Mayor Earl V. Johnson presented a formal resolution recognizing Harrison Vincent and the Andalusia Stingrays swim team for recent competitive successes and invited Vincent to the podium for a photo and proclamation.
"And whereas Harrison Vincent did win 1st place medals in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 50 backstroke," Johnson read as he listed the swimmer's achievements and the coaches who led the team. The mayor noted the Stingrays won the 2026 district tournament in Dothan — the team's sixth consecutive district title — and that multiple team members advanced to state competition in Opelika.
Johnson named coaches Darren Forry, Candace Vinson, Josh Hudson and Elania Forry (and referenced Sharon Sheekley) when reading the resolution adopted "this August 2026." The council approved the resolution and the mayor congratulated Vincent and his teammates before inviting the audience to stay for photographs.
