Councilman Blair Halverson briefed the council on construction progress for the new Public Works facility at 104 East South Weber Drive, being built by Valley Design and Construction, Inc.
Halverson said recent project activities included an average of 10 workers on site, no safety incidents or near misses, electrical connection for the vehicle storage building, and electrical and floor preparation in the main building along with conference-room A/V preparation. He noted the facility will include a main building, a vehicle storage building and a material storage structure.
The update was informational; no council action was required at the meeting. Council members asked no recorded follow-up questions in the minutes and no schedule for final completion was provided during the report.
