Council approves bank designation, building permit, ordinance actions and raises municipal judge salary
Summary
Council designated two banks as city depositories, approved a Kalix building permit on payment, approved a revised ordinance and a first reading of Ordinance 503, and increased the municipal judge’s salary to $172/month.
On Jan. 21 the Rolla City Council designated Starion Bank and Dacotah Bank as depositories for city funds under NDCC 21-0405 and approved a Kalix building permit contingent on payment of $803. The motions were moved and seconded by Alex Albert and Willie Fritz and passed unanimously.
Council approved a revised Ordinance 19-02-070 and passed the first reading of Ordinance 503 (amendments to Chapter 13.51.080 subsections). The council also approved a municipal judge salary increase to $172 per month; the salary motion passed with Councilpersons Fritz, Schemmel and Frydenlund voting Aye and Alex Albert recorded as abstaining. Council also received notice Dakota Law Group will not take the city’s case and returned a $2,500 deposit.
