Chairman Mike Helman said the board would move forward with a tree-trimming contract after a motion to set a spending limit. "Motion by Helman to approve up to $15,000 for tree trimming by Carr's Tree Service," the minutes record; the motion was seconded by Vice Chairman Brandon Geyen and passed 4-0.
The maintenance report also recorded other decisions and deferred items. The board tabled replacement of a Chevrolet 1500's tires while it considers replacing the vehicle, and noted that "a hydraulic study is in the budget for 2025," with estimates to be gathered; the report said the study is expected to guide work for about five years. A separate Baker Ave culvert lowering proposal failed on a 2-2 vote and will require further review.
