Forney approves negotiated settlement with Atmos Energy affecting residential and commercial rates

Thatcher said Atmos initially requested approximately $291.1 million in additional systemwide revenues; the ACSC negotiations reduced that request by about $30 million to $260.5 million.
Thatcher said that, under the settlement, the average residential customer in participating cities would see an increase of about $13.37 per month (approximately 14.15%), while average commercial usage would increase roughly $44.82 (about 9.9%). Staff recommended approval of an ordinance implementing the negotiated tariffs and related provisions; council moved and adopted the ordinance.
